Get to Know RFIP: Virtual Call 2

Get to Know RFIP: Virtual Call 2 Wednesday, 25 November 2026 · 4pm – 5pm CAT · Online, one hour Three months ago, the RFIP Partners Group was launched at the Africa Food Systems Forum in Kigali. Since then, partners have joined our first Get to Know RFIP call in September and met investors, producers and policymakers at the Investment & Market Access Forum Business Breakfast during VIV Africa in October. Interest is growing, and this second call is for organisations ready to go from learning about RFIP to working with it. RFIP brings together government, business, researchers, development partners and civil society to take food innovations from idea to market, first in Rwanda and then across Africa. It is how Rwanda plans to become the continent’s leading destination for food systems innovation by 2035. What we’ll cover A short introduction to RFIP and the Rwanda Food Innovation Ecosystem Strategy (2026–2035) for anyone joining for the first time. What has happened since the launch, and the priorities for the months ahead. A closer look at the four accelerators (Policy & Regulatory, Investment, Venture and SME, and Human Capital Development) and the kind of partners each one needs. How to join the RFIP Partners Group and what membership involves. Open discussion with the RFIP Secretariat: bring your questions, your ideas and the problems you want to help solve. Who should join Everyone is welcome, whether or not you came to the first call. If you came in September, this is a chance to see what has changed and where your organisation fits. If you missed it, this is the quickest way to catch up. The call is for anyone in government, business, research and academia, development institutions or civil society who wants food innovation to deliver better nutrition, a healthier environment and more jobs.
